What comes to mind when you think of the Fourth of July? Is it the sight of a sky lit with fireworks? Is it the joy of family and friends coming together? Or is it merely the bliss of a well-prepared Independence Day dinner?
Perhaps there is something more sentimental? Is it the memory of your father, maybe your grandfather, taking you to some isolated beach telling you ‘this is where I fought for freedom’? Was it a walk through Stonewall, Birmingham, or the steps of the very capitol at Washington D.C, where the voices are etched into the very landscape stating ‘this is where I fought for freedom’? Does that memory belong somewhere deep in all of us; knowing that every time we support each other, respect each other, and engage in a free society that we can say ‘this is where I fought for freedom’? In 1835, the great French-American laureate Alexis de Tocqueville was the first to describe the United States as ‘The Great Experiment’. In his time, the idea of a fledgling nation based in the ideals of Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness was groundbreaking. These are the ideals that we strive for to this day and they are worth celebrating. Here at Waterways Cruises and Events, we want to invite you to join us in celebrating our United States of America and view one of the best Fourth of July fireworks shows in the nation from the comfort of our elegant yachts.
This Independence Day, we welcome you to join us on our Fourth of July Party Cruise and dance the night away.
