About our partner, Bakescapade:
Chef Karen Sandoval is a gifted pastry chef who has made her mark in the culinary world with her passion for baking and her love of authentic Mexican sweets. Born in Mexico City, Karen grew up with a wide variety of delicious Pan Dulce, with Conchas being the most popular of all. However, since moving to Seattle with her family, she has found it challenging to find good quality Pan Dulce.
Determined to bring the taste of her childhood to her community, Chef Karen dedicated herself to mastering the art of making authentic Pan Dulce, with a special focus on the beloved Concha. Through her hard work and dedication, she has reconnected the people of Seattle with the delicious sweetness of traditional Mexican pastries and has become a staple in the community.
With unique flavor combinations and imaginative designs, Karen has taken the Concha to new heights, earning her a loyal following of customers who return time and time again for a taste of her sweet creations. Her passion for baking and her love of authentic Mexican sweets have connected her with people from all walks of life, and her innovative approach to traditional pastries has made her a beloved figure in the Seattle community.
