Join us for a gorgeous evening on the water where you’ll taste molten lava cakes from Hot Cakes paired with fine wines from Aluel Cellars. The waterways team has selected several of Hot Cakes’ delicious offerings to taste along with Aluel wines that will create a unique pairing. Your experience will also include a artisan charcuterie spread for you to enjoy with your sweets.
About Hot Cakes:
Hot Cakes was born at the Seattle farmers markets in 2008 with their namesake product the molten chocolate cake. In 2012, they opened their first dessert restaurant on Ballard Avenue. Today they are a well-known and loved cakery in Seattle. Their cakes are deeply chocolatey, warm, gooey in the middle, and cakey on the outside.
About Aluel Cellars:
Owners and partners Alex and Samuel met in 2010 over a mutual love for wine. With a background in law, Alex often spent time helping companies, including wineries, navigate complex legal issues, and his evenings and weekends working at tasting rooms and learning about the chemistry behind wine-making. From here, Alex and Samuel decided to turn their expertise into something more and launched Aluel Cellars together, embracing their love for Washington wines.
